PFAS DISCLOSURE NOTICE - GLOBE TURNOUT GEAR ORDERS
The following information was received by our company on 06/16/2025 from MSA/Globe regarding the requirement to notify end users on the purchase of items that contain polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
MSA/Globe states:
Pursuant to Massachusetts law (ALM GL chapter 111 § 245), this letter serves as official written notice that Certain fabric components of Globe turnout gear included in this order contain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) as defined by law in several states including CA, CO, MA, MD, NH, NY, VT and WA. According to our suppliers, the primary reason their materials incorporate PFAS (polymeric PFAS, primarily PTFE/Polytetrafluoroethylene) is to achieve performance characteristics such as liquid repellency, breathability, or durability and/or to meet current applicable NFPA performance standards. For the most up-to-date information on products and identification of specific substances by component, visit www.msafire.com/productstewardship.
Per Massachusetts requirements, please retain this notice for a minimum of three years from date of purchase. Please consider this letter as the formal notice required under Massachusetts law regarding the PFAS content in those products.
This notification is based on updated disclosures provided by Globe’s suppliers and their order management review process.
Bergeron remains committed to supporting our customers. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Thank you for your continued trust and partnership.
